Allocated 'Named GP'

Named GP

As part of the new contract between the department of health and GPs nationally, we are now required to allocate an individual named GP to each patient. Your named GP is a lead GP who is the coordinator of your care but is not required to deliver all the care to the patient, nor expected to be available 24/7. having a named GP does not mean that you have special access to that particular GP. Additionally you will continue to see which ever GP you prefer.

If you are unhappy with the GP allocated to you we will make every effort to allocate you the GP of your choice however this may prove difficult if your prefered GP already has a large list size.

GP Earnings

All GP Practices are now required to declare mean earnings (i.e. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working at this practice in the last financial year (2015/16) was £77,821.83 before Tax and National Insurance.

This is for 6 part time GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months
